RCMP have provided an update on the collision that has closed Highway 103 this morning near Port Mouton between exits 21 and 22.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke says the Mounties appreciate everyone’s patience as they follow their procedures.
“However the evidence at the collision scene is very perishable. In order for us to have the analyst determine what happened we need to collect that evidence right after the collision occurred.”
Clarke says two people were involved in the crash.
One person has been taken to hospital with what’s believed to be non-life threatening injuries and they’re still working to determine the status of the other person.
Clarke says it’s unfortunate so many people are being held up for so long.
She says investigators are working as quickly as they can and the RCMP appreciates the public’s patience.
