Three more lakes in Lunenburg and Shelburne counties have opened for winter sportfishing.
Hutt Lake in Chester and Beck Lake in Crouses Settlement as well as Beaver Dam Lake in Shelburne are open to brook and rainbow trout fishing.
It brings the provincial total to 63 bodies of water open for winter fishing.
Fishing licenses can be purchased at Department of Natural Resources offices.
People can also fish for free without a license during the open weekend from February 13 to 15.
Nova Scotia’s winter sportfishing season runs until March 31.
