The driver and victim involved in a single vehicle accident in Lunenburg County may yet face repercussions.
The accident occurred shortly after 4 pm on August 27.
A 27-year-old from Lakeside was ejected from a pickup truck after it left the road, struck a road sign, and rolled into a ditch in the New Canada area.
He was found pinned under the truck when police arrived.
The man was taken to hospital by EHS to be treated for minor injuries and a passenger was treated at the scene and released.
RCMP noted signs of alcohol impairment and following medical treatment he was taken to the Cookville RCMP detachment for breath samples.
Police say several hours had passed since the accident but the samples still indicated he had alcohol in his system.
The investigation continues to determine the driver’s blood alcohol concentration at the time of the collision.
