New Brunswick Man Curling Across The Nation

A New Brunswick man is Curling Across the Nation in the hopes of saving the curling club in Harvey Station.

He is crossing the country and hopes to curl in 100 rinks before the Brier begins in the end of February next year.

The journey for 48-year-old Rob Swan started in September.  He hasn't set a fundraising goal, but the money has slowly been coming in.

He says, "A lot of the clubc are donating on their own, and around Harvey, people are out looking for sponsors on a per game basis.  Every game I curl is worth more to our renovation fund."

So far, Swan has curled in 34 rinks, but he'll return to the Maritimes in December, where he'll curl four games in New Brunswick, six in PEI and five in Nova Scotia.

The 53-year-old club is in desperate need of renovations and upgrades.
