Sixty-four people were recognized Monday at the Provincial Education Week Awards ceremony in Dartmouth.
Among them were seven individuals employed by the South Shore Regional Centre for Education.
Bernadette McIntosh and Lydia Skoreyko received Educator Awards and Allan Turner was given a Public School Administrator Award.
An Early Childhood Educator Award went to Cindy MacLean.
Holly Grant, Shelly Whynot and Sheila Porter were recognized with Student Support Awards.
The recipients were honoured for going above and beyond in providing inclusive supports to students and children, making them feel welcomed, appropriately challenged, and supported.
Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, Zach Churchill, says the recipients “are leading the way and helping the next generation of Nova Scotians be successful.”
