A caravan of culinary concocotions descended on Lunenburg this weekend.
The Lunenburg Farmers Market hosted the food truck festival Saturday afternoon at the community centre.
Eleven trucks were involved selling a range of foods, beers, desserts and coffees.
Ashley Marlin organized the event and says it was very well received.
” Oh they loved the food. They loved the fact that they came to Lunenburg because a lot of the rallies happen in Halifax. The trucks were excited to come and experience Lunenburg – try out some new people, a new place. All we got was good feedback.”
Martin says she doesn’t think there’ll be any problem getting the trucks or people to return next year.
“With the great turnout we had, I don’t think we’ll have a problem getting the trucks back and I’ve already had a huge amount of feedback on our Facebook page, saying please have this be an annual event. So I’m thinking we’re going to have to do it again.”
Marlin says the biggest issue was demand exceeded the supply as trucks ran out of food.
