Two South Shore residents have been awarded for their work in the medical field. The Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia recently presented 12 people with honours. Tami Crosby of Shelburne was given the Pfizer Bowl of Hygeia, which is presented to a pharmacist with an outstanding record of community service. She works with the ladies auxiliary at Roseway Hospital, volunteers with her church and helps with physician recruitment. Crosby also created the program ‘Teens Lending Care’, pairing high school students elderly people receiving care in nursing homes or hospitals. Susan Beresford of Lunenburg also received an appreciation award.
